Our Story

Over a decade ago, Brandon co-founded a successful tech startup. However, as the business grew, he realized it was heading in a direction he could no longer support—ethically or sustainably. Walking away wasn’t just leaving a job; it meant stepping away from something he had built from the ground up, something he had sacrificed so much for. The transition was turbulent, and in the midst of that uncertainty, he found himself crying out to God, seeking direction and purpose.

During that difficult season, a specific Bible verse left a lasting impression on him:

"I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge, and with all kinds of skills—to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver, and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts." – Exodus 31:3-5

At the time, he didn’t fully grasp its meaning, but it resonated so strongly that he wrote it down—and even designed a logo around it.

In the years that followed, Brandon took on a variety of jobs, including carpentry, helping build custom homes. Though he didn’t yet feel he had stepped into his true calling, he remained faithful, providing for his family while honing his skills. Still, he longed to build something of his own again—this time, alongside a like-minded partner.

That opportunity came after he and his family moved to Florida. On the way to a men’s church event, he met Josh. Josh had spent a decade as a top corporate manager in the medical industry but felt his time there was coming to an end. With a background in plumbing and electrical work, he had grown up working alongside his father in construction. He had been considering starting a construction company but didn’t want to do it alone. If only he could find the right partner…

And just like that, Real Craftsman was born.

Still in the early stages of their journey, Brandon and Josh are committed to building things that last. Real Craftsman is more than a business—it’s a calling. As a licensed residential contractor in Southwest Florida, the company specializes in high-end home remodeling and storm restoration. Whether transforming a kitchen, renovating an entire home, or restoring a property after hurricane damage, Real Craftsman brings expert craftsmanship, integrity, and clear communication to every project.
